Charles Rousseau

Charles Rousseau was a leading architect of the French tradition of international law, devoting his life to the holistic treatment and development of public international law. He served as a Professor of International, Constitutional and Administrative Law at the University of Paris. Professor Rousseau was considered an outstanding jurist and became one of the primary references for generations of students of international law. He was committed to the search for orderly processes for international organization and the peaceful settlement of international disputes. As Editor of Revue Générale de Droit International, he has provided illumination on every major development of contemporary international law.
