The CCIL Prize, awarded to the semi-finalist teams of the Charles Rousseau moot court competition, was presented to Université Laval and Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne by Miriam Cohen, Vladyslav Lanovoy and David Pavot at the closing banquet held in Nice on May 10, 2026. During the presentation of the Prize, they recalled that Professor Charles Rousseau received the Read Medal in 1984 at the CCIL annual conference. It was during his stay in Canada that the decision was made to create a French-language public international law moot court competition in his honour. A memorandum of understanding was recently signed by the CCIL with the Réseau francophone de droit international (RFDI) to support the Charles Rousseau competition. The CCIL Prize for the semi-finalist teams was created on this occasion.
